Letting go is Mindfulness

Hi, I'm Debby, founder of CWIST. We talk a lot about Mindfulness at CWIST. We talk about making space in the mind, about clearing life of both physical objects and social-emotional static.

I am 52 years old. I feel a lot of pain in my body, not only because I have a permanent mobility limitation condition, but also because of my age. I follow a routine coordinated by a Neurologist, Orthopedist and Nutritionist. I do a quarterly control. Even so, I put into practice what we indicate here in the social networks.

A few days ago, in a 3rd age pilates class, the 72 year old teacher (who is more "fit" than most 20 year old students in physical education college) closed the class with the following sentence:

"We try so hard to make room in our minds on a daily basis. We try to let go. We try to forgive. We try to "drop the bone" of recurring issues. We try to change habits. But, very rarely do we try to fit our minds into our bodies."

Try it! Close your eyes, sit up straight, lower your shoulders, keep your chin parallel to the floor, give yourself some space between your shoulder blades, and now place your mind in the thoracic region, between your heart, stomach, and lungs.

When we visualize our minds directly connected to the organs of survival, it becomes easier to make room in our minds and cut the cables of our anchors to leave the organs free to perform their functions.

Try it! It costs nothing. Done right, it takes 3 minutes. It's 3 minutes that can change a whole life.
